It explores why DME students can sometimes appear disengaged, underachieving or inconsistent, and challenges deficit-based models by shifting the focus away from labels towards strengths, needs and lived experience.
Through insight, real-world examples and classroom-tested strategies, the course empowers educators to ask the most important question: “How can I help this student thrive?”
